Jerry Butler, President, is a financial/operations professional who has spent his entire career in book publishing.
Jerry served as VP/General Manager and CFO of Warner Books, where he created the company’s royalty system. He established the “reserves for returns” parameters for that system, as well as for William Morrow, where Jerry was Executive VP & COO, and where he directed the all company financial and operations fuctions. He has also served as COO and partner at ChildrensElibrary.com, CFO of Writers House and has provided financial consulting for many small publishers, investment bankers, and others in the book publishing community.
Jerry has negotiated thousands of contracts and fine-tuned innumerable royalty statements from both sides of the table. He has negotiated many distribution and co-publishing agreements, and has endured countless royalty audits conducted by ill-prepared accountants, with nary an adjustment.
